Well, being a space veteran, it's no real surprise that Polly Walker will find herself on another planet in "John Carter of Mars", a movie that has apparently been green-lit and will come out in 2012. According to the official site, the plot is as follows:
"The movie John Carter of Mars chronicles the journey of American Civil War veteran John Carter (Taylor Kitsch), who finds himself battling a new and mysterious war amidst a host of strange Martian inhabitants, including Tars Tarkas (Willem Dafoe) and Dejah Thoris (Lynn Collins)."
It looks like Polly will be cast as "Sarkoja, a merciless, tyrannical Thark".
